How to Rehydrate Raisins and Dried Fruit

Do you have some dried fruit or raisins which are too dry? Quickly rehydrate them and enjoy a more succulent taste.

Whether you want them for baking or snacking, all raisins will benefit from some rehydration.

Place the raisins in a bowl and cover with just-boiled water, then leave to soak for 10-15 minutes. Strain and allow to cool.

Raisins soaked in rum or brandy add a great depth of flavour. Mix the raisins and liquid in a small saucepan and warm gently. Remove from the heat and allow to soak for a few minutes.

Lovely with ice cream.

Try Nanny’s bread pudding with rum soaked raisins, its great!
