Hotdog spiders or caterpillars are easily made with spaghetti pushed through hotdog sausages. Your kids will love them on Halloween!

Whatever you and the kids are getting up to this Halloween, have some fun and try some spooky recipes.

For a touch of authenticity get a pack of edible eyes like these ones from Tesco’s.

The kids will probably like these Toffee Apples too!

Hotdog spiders and caterpillars
Hot dogs with spaghetti noodles cooked through them to look like spiders or caterpillars. Your kids will love them on Halloween!
Ingredients
- 8 Hotdog sausages
- 100 g Spaghetti uncooked
- 1 pack Edible eyes optional

Instructions
For Spiders:
- Cut each hotdog into 4 equal pieces. Push 4 pieces of uncooked spaghetti through the hotdog pieces lengthways.
For Caterpillars:
- Push 8 pieces of uncooked spaghetti through each hotdog sideways.
Cooking:
- Cook pasta and hot dogs in salted boiling water according to pasta package directions, about 8-10 minutes.
- Drain pasta and hot dogs.
- Trim the spaghetti legs to desired length
- Add the edible eyes if using
Notes
Instead of edible eyes you can use cranberrys.
